  • Having obtained his BFA from the Camberwell School of Art, Ron Smits exhibited his work at renowned galleries like the Serpentine and Acme in London. His artistic efforts during his time in London were recognized and supported by The Arts Council of Great Britain and Greater London Arts, through numerous grants for his expanded cinema and video work.

    During this period, his residence and workspace were funded by The Arts Council of Great Britain as well. Upon relocating to the United States, Ron transitioned into architectural lighting, receiving multiple international design accolades. He also explored freelance illustration. In 2013, he retired, providing him with the opportunity to revert his focus to painting, a discipline he has passionately and consistently pursued since. Read More
