  • Having earned his BFA from Camberwell School of Art, Ron Smits showcased his work at prominent galleries like the Serpentine and Acme in London. Throughout his London-based career, he was the recipient of numerous grants from The Arts Council of Great Britain and Greater London Arts, aiding him in the production and presentation of his expanded cinema and video work. He was also furnished with live/work space, sponsored by The Arts Council of Great Britain.

    Upon his relocation to the United States, Ron transitioned to a career in architectural lighting, a field in which he garnered several global design accolades. He also accomplished freelance work as an illustrator.
