These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in Portfolio Perspectives, a program operated by Selfless Art (“Selfless Art,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By enrolling in Portfolio Perspectives, starting a free trial, submitting a portfolio, participating in the program, or accessing program materials, you agree to these Terms.

Please read them carefully before enrolling.
 

1. About Portfolio Perspectives
 

Portfolio Perspectives is an artist resource focused on portfolio presentation, peer perspective, and practical resources for artists.

The program is designed to provide artists with perspective and resources related to how their work is presented, organized, and communicated through a portfolio.

Portfolio Perspectives is not an artwork critique, representation service, gallery submission service, or guarantee of professional opportunities.

Participation in Portfolio Perspectives does not influence or guarantee representation by Selfless Art.
 

2. Eligibility
 

Portfolio Perspectives is intended for artists interested in receiving and exchanging constructive feedback regarding portfolio presentation.
 

By enrolling, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old;

• The information you provide to Selfless Art is accurate;

• You have the right to submit the portfolio and materials you provide; and

• You agree to use the program respectfully and in accordance with these Terms.
   

Selfless Art reserves the right to decline or terminate participation where reasonably necessary to protect the integrity, safety, or purpose of the program.
 

3. 7-Day Free Trial
 

Portfolio Perspectives may begin with a 7-day free trial.

During the free trial, participants may receive a brief portfolio perspective from Selfless Art focused on the organization and presentation of their submitted portfolio. Trial participants may also receive access to designated introductory resources and other trial features identified at enrollment.

The Selfless Art portfolio perspective provided during the free trial is intended as an introduction to the program and is not equivalent to the ongoing peer feedback available through the full program.
 

Conversion to Paid Membership
 

Before completing enrollment, you will be shown the applicable price, billing terms, trial period, and conversion terms.

Unless you cancel before the end of the 7-day trial, your membership will convert to the applicable paid Portfolio Perspectives plan selected at enrollment.

By enrolling in the free trial, you authorize Selfless Art, through its payment processor, to charge your selected payment method when the trial ends in accordance with the terms presented at checkout.
 

4. Six-Month Membership
 

Portfolio Perspectives is offered as a six-month membership.

The current program price is $90 total ($15/month), unless another price is clearly stated at the time of enrollment.

The six-month membership provides access to the features and resources described on the Portfolio Perspectives website and at the time of enrollment.

Features may include peer portfolio feedback, artist-led sessions, portfolio resources, community access, and other educational materials.

Specific activities, feedback opportunities, sessions, resources, and participating artists may vary between program cycles.

Selfless Art does not guarantee that every program cycle will include the same participants, sessions, resources, or programming.
 

5. Payment
 

You agree to provide accurate and current payment information when enrolling.

You authorize Selfless Art, through its payment processor, to charge the payment method provided according to the billing terms presented at enrollment.

You are responsible for applicable taxes or other charges required by law or imposed by your payment provider.

If a payment fails, Selfless Art may suspend access to Portfolio Perspectives until payment is successfully received.
 

6. Renewal
 

If your membership is set to renew, the renewal terms, price, renewal period, and billing frequency will be disclosed at enrollment.

Where applicable, your membership will automatically renew for the renewal period stated at checkout unless you cancel in accordance with these Terms.

Selfless Art will provide any renewal notices required by applicable law.

You may cancel using the cancellation method provided by Selfless Art. If you enrolled online, cancellation will be available through an online method or another method permitted by applicable law.
 

7. Cancellation
 

You may cancel your membership using the cancellation method provided by Selfless Art.

You may cancel during the 7-day free trial to avoid being charged.

Once the paid six-month membership begins, cancellation prevents future renewal or charges after the applicable membership term but does not terminate the current six-month membership or create a right to a refund.
 

8. Refunds
 

The 7-day free trial allows you to experience Portfolio Perspectives before committing to the paid membership.

Once the paid six-month membership begins, payments are non-refundable, including if you choose to stop participating before the membership term ends.

Refunds may be issued only in cases of billing error or where required by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or cancellation rights that cannot legally be waived.
 

9. Portfolio Submissions
 

To participate in Portfolio Perspectives, you may be required to submit a portfolio or related materials.

You retain ownership of the artwork, photographs, writing, and other original materials you submit.

By submitting materials, you grant Selfless Art and participating Portfolio Perspectives reviewers a limited, non-exclusive right to access and use those materials solely as necessary to provide and administer the Portfolio Perspectives program.

Selfless Art will not sell or commercially license your artwork through Portfolio Perspectives without your separate permission.

You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the materials you provide.
 

10. Peer Feedback
 

Peer feedback is provided by participating artists selected or approved by Selfless Art.

Peer feedback focuses on portfolio presentation and may include:

• Organization;

• Image selection;

• Sequencing;

• Layout and formatting;

• Artist statements and biographies;

• Artwork information; and

• Overall presentation and clarity.

Peer feedback is intended to be constructive, practical, and educational.

Peer Artist Reviewers are not acting as representatives, agents, curators, appraisers, or employees of Selfless Art solely by participating as reviewers.

The opinions expressed by Peer Artist Reviewers are their own and may not reflect the views of Selfless Art.
 

11. Results May Vary
 

Portfolio Perspectives provides perspective, guidance, and educational resources intended to support artists in presenting their work more clearly and effectively.

Results may vary based on the individual artist, their portfolio, their circumstances, and how they choose to apply the information provided.

Participation does not guarantee:

• Gallery representation;

• Exhibition opportunities;

• Sales;

• Collector interest;

• Grants or residencies;

• Career advancement;

• Increased visibility; or

• Acceptance by any gallery, institution, curator, collector, or other organization.

Feedback should be considered one perspective among many.
 

12. Relationship to Selfless Art Representation
 

Portfolio Perspectives is separate from Selfless Art’s representation and Artist Alignment processes.

Purchasing or participating in Portfolio Perspectives:

• Does not constitute an application for representation;

• Does not guarantee consideration for representation;

• Does not improve or reduce an artist’s likelihood of representation;

• Does not influence Selfless Art’s representation decisions; and

• Does not establish an artist-gallery relationship with Selfless Art.

If you wish to be considered for representation by Selfless Art, you must follow the applicable Artist Alignment or representation application process.
 

13. Confidentiality
 

Selfless Art expects participants and Peer Artist Reviewers to treat portfolio materials and feedback received through Portfolio Perspectives with respect.

Unless otherwise authorized, participants should not publicly share another participant’s portfolio, personal information, or feedback without that participant’s permission.

Selfless Art may access and retain submitted materials as reasonably necessary to administer the program, provide feedback, maintain records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

14. Intellectual Property
 

All Selfless Art materials provided through Portfolio Perspectives, including guides, written resources, templates, educational materials, branding, graphics, and other original content, belong to Selfless Art or its licensors unless otherwise stated.

Your membership gives you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to access and use these materials for your own artistic practice.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, publish, or commercially exploit Selfless Art materials without prior written permission.
 

15. Community Conduct
 

If Portfolio Perspectives includes community features, discussions, group sessions, or other interactions between participants, you agree to communicate respectfully.

You may not:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate another participant;

• Discriminate against another participant;

• Misrepresent yourself or your professional experience;

• Share another participant’s private information without permission;

• Use the community primarily for unsolicited promotion or solicitation;

• Submit content that infringes another person’s rights; or

• Use the program for unlawful purposes.

Selfless Art may remove content or suspend or terminate participation if these standards are violated.
 

16. Program Changes
 

Selfless Art may reasonably modify, update, or discontinue portions of Portfolio Perspectives.

Changes may include:

• Program content;

• Participating artists;

• Sessions;

• Resources;

• Community features; or

• Program schedules.

Pricing may also change for future enrollment or renewal periods.

Selfless Art will not materially change the price of an existing paid term without providing notice and any rights required by applicable law.
 

17. Program Availability
 

Selfless Art will make reasonable efforts to provide Portfolio Perspectives as described at enrollment.

However, specific peer reviewers, session dates, resources, or other program components may change due to availability, scheduling, or circumstances outside Selfless Art’s control.

If Selfless Art substantially discontinues the program during a paid term, Selfless Art may provide an appropriate alternative, credit, extension, or refund, as applicable.
 

18. Disclaimer
 

Portfolio Perspectives is provided for informational and educational purposes.

Feedback provided through the program is not legal, financial, tax, business, investment, appraisal, or professional representation advice.

You are responsible for determining how, whether, and when to act on any feedback or resources you receive.
 

19. Limitation of Liability
 

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Selfless Art will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to your participation in Portfolio Perspectives.

Selfless Art’s total liability arising from your participation in the program will not exceed the amount you paid to Selfless Art for Portfolio Perspectives during the applicable period, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
 

20. Termination
 

Selfless Art may suspend or terminate your participation if you violate these Terms, misuse the program, engage in conduct that harms other participants, or otherwise interfere with the operation of Portfolio Perspectives.

If your participation is terminated because you violated these Terms, you may lose access to the program and may not be entitled to a refund, except where required by law.
 

21. Changes to These Terms
 

Selfless Art may update these Terms from time to time.

When material changes are made, Selfless Art will provide notice as required by applicable law.

Your continued participation after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
 

22. Governing Law
 

These Terms will be governed by the laws applicable to Selfless Art’s place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Any dispute arising from these Terms will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

24. Acceptance
 

By enrolling in Portfolio Perspectives, submitting payment information, beginning a free trial, submitting a portfolio, or accessing the program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
